I gave up on Art for a long time as I battled mental health issues but Lockdown 2020 helped me find my way back.
The paintings originate, mainly, from music and feelings which manifest in lines, texture and shapes. Colour and space also form an integral part of the paintings composition which can, sometimes feel a little jarring.
Starting from a very busy picture I work backwards finding and refining the key elements.

Production and Printing
All art is produced digitally, often using several different programmes and each piece evolves continuously.
Usually, the initial piece is crowded and busy but I then take time to strip back and peel away, to get under the surface of what it is I want to convey.
The finished picture can be a world away from the starting point but I feel that what remains is what was always meant to be there.
All pieces are Giclee prints on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 (unless otherwise stated)
This provides a matte finish.
If you wish to have the work printed on a different paper, I am happy to discuss options with you.
